About Us

Dresden is located within the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. It is defined with Lake George on the west and Lake Champlain, Vermont and the town of Whitehall on the east. The southern border of Dresden abuts Fort Ann N.Y and the south basin of Lake Champlain. The northern border is shared with the town of Putnam, N .Y.

- If you are a senior citizen, a person with a physical disability, and or a veteran, you may be entitled to partial exemptions from property taxes. This must be your primary residence. All eligible homeowners have until March 1, 2025 to apply for such exemptions. For further information, please call the assessors office at 518-760-5019.
